On Saturday, Nils Frahm and Olafur Arnalds grace Mississippi Studios with their large presence. Mostly seated and as silent as possible, the audience stares in awe as Nils Frahm gently hammers on the piano and a vintage keyboard at once. Both artist represent a new form of classical music which is infused with electronic and experimental elements.
Whereas Frahm stuns the audience with the use of subtle compositions and every bit of silence between, Arnalds fills up the room with built up constructions of electronic drums, loops of piano, and even the sound of the audience clapping played backwards.
Arnalds is more anecdotal, Frahms is concetrated. Both capitavte us with every tap of the key. Check out their contributions of the Erased Tapes Collection, and some of the other awesome artists on Erased Tapes.
