Another new release from a local Portland band, Fog Father. The new EP is called Razzle-Dazzle. Fog Father’s music is dripping with experimental synth-pop that is reminiscent of early 2000s Flaming Lips. The opening track is definitely one of my favorites. “Cone House” starts out with cool harmonies, that progresses with bouncy synths and weird guitar/keyboard fills. My other favorite track is “Ghost Colors,” which is the most dancey track on the EP. Fog Father is on the rise in the underground scene here in Portland, being one of The Deli’s Portland top new artist of the month. Razzle-Dazzle is just under 15 minutes so there really is no excuse not to listen to it.
