Sunday night was host to a series of great electronic music at Holocene. Consisting of 4 highly talented DJs and musicians there was a great deal of booty shaking going on through the night. The set started off with Nitemoves, a D.C. DJ.
After Nitemoves played, one of my favorite newer bands, Beacon took the stage. They performed most of their debut full length album called The Ways We Separate. The live performance is as good as the recordings, making the show become more intimate.
Phaeleh came on afterwards to lay down some of his freshly smoothed beats.
Then finally came the main attraction, Shigeto. The DJ/drummer whipped up the crowd into dancing frenzy. Shigeto’s brand of electronic music is on the chiller, glitcher side of it. He has been known in the same circle as Shlohmo.
