Live: Orquestra Pacifico Tropical / Candace / Ah God

While the crowds were away at Pickathon, half decade old favorites; Ah God, Candace and Orquestra Pacifico Tropical played Doug Fir Friday Aug 4. Ah God always gives a great show with focused deliberate sets full of just the perfect amount of lo-fi, pop, and psych.

This photo sums up their sound. Weird and retro up front with poppy guitars fading into the background.

Catch them again on Tuesday Aug 15th at Mississippi Studios with the Ghost Ease and Jo Passed.

Candace sounds like a sinuous floral Mucha painting.

Check out Candace live with The Wild Body, Monster Treasure, and Squishies on Friday Aug 25th at the Know. It’s going to be great.

Orquestra Pacifico Tropical shows are a journey through space and style. They are miracle workers, making psych music temptingly danceable. They’re playing again Sunday Sept 3 with Edna Vasquez at Mississippi Studios. Don’t miss it.

Major thanks to Chris Bigalke for organizing the lineup AND for supplying a long steady flow of superfresh show posters to cover the walls and streets.
