Treefort 2016 Day 1

Wednesday March 23rd was the first day of Treefort Music Fest. It was our first time actually catching any acts on Wednesday, since last year we had car troubles. After checking into the ol’ Cabana Inn, we quickly moved over to Fatty’s, a club with extremely cheap drink specials. We caught San Francisco DJ Seapora, who started our venture with chill electro-pop music. After only spending $20 on roughly 15 shots, we moved over to Linen Building for another San Fran band, Culture Abuse. Though the lead singer was belligerently hammered, they put on a pretty decent show. We then scooted over to see Portland’s own Jackson Boone & The Ocean Ghosts. They put on a super groovy show to a pretty packed house. After a brief stop back at Fatty’s (I mean dollar tequila shots) we checked out Boise’s Gipsy Moon Rise. These guys and gals rocked super hard and that’s when that feeling of Treefort really set in for me.

It was a great first night of Treefort. We caught a few more acts besides those pictured above, but none that were too memorable. Wednesday was a great way to start the weekend of festivities.
