Minor Poet

New music from Richmond, VA band Minor Poet. The new album is called And How!. It is a riveting, beach-rock, summer haze kind of album. The songs are super catchy and well put together. The jangle of the guitar along with the vocals makes for a great combination. Minor Poet has that kind of sound that you can listen to anywhere, but is optimized on a bright, windy/sunny day. And How! is an album that makes the edges of everything a litter brighter and crisper. One of my favorite tracks, “Sudoku, An Enlightment”, is a testament to losing yourself to boredom and procrastination. “Judith Beheading Holofernes” is another favorite of mine, it is super catchy with that guitar rhythm and the vocal pattern. And How! by Minor Poet is not to be missed out on!

Car Seat Headrest

Brilliant new album from Virginia’s Car Seat Headrest. The album is called Teens of Style. The first track, “Sunburned Shirts”, starts it off with an energetic guitar part and heavy reverb vocals. Car Seat Headrest brings a cool mix of grunge-rock and guitar pop. The album as a whole is very well written between the lyrics and the guitar riffs. Teens of Style is a super catchy album that you’ll want to listen to over and over again.
